Our Story
In 2020, JoAnne and Cristi were both ready to change their styles. Both were watching boutique live sales that showed how clothes fit and what was trending, and both bought from boutiques near, but not in, their area. When friends admired their new looks, they asked where to shop, and there was nothing like it close to home. JoAnne and Cristi saw the need and started Sweet Southern Gals together, selling through live sales, vendor markets and online.
After two years, they saw many smaller businesses with top-quality products that just needed a place to sell, so they began inviting those women into their stores. Today more than 30 local entrepreneurs sell in each store, from a 9-year-old to an 82-year-old published author. Some have opened their own shops, launched a subscription box, or placed their products in other stores. JoAnne, a business coach and consultant, supports them with coaching and mentoring.
Faith and family are at the heart of Sweet Southern Gals. JoAnne is a pastor's wife of over 28 years, Cristi grew up as a pastor's daughter, and both serve in women's ministry at their church. They believe that when you look your best, you feel your best, and they love helping women's business dreams come true.

What makes Sweet Southern Gals different? We are a mother-daughter boutique offering top boutique brands at exceptional value. Each of our stores also hosts 30+ local, mostly women-owned businesses, giving local entrepreneurs a place to launch and grow.

Who started Sweet Southern Gals? We're a mother-daughter team, JoAnne Fowler and Cristi Florence. We opened in May 2020 in Rock Hill, SC.
Sizing & Fit
What sizes do you carry? Women's sizing from 0–5X, plus children's and men's clothing.
Do your kids' clothes run true to size? Check the description for each item. Some run true to size, while others run small and we recommend sizing up.
Do you offer plus sizes? Yes. Shop our dedicated Plus Size collection for women's styles up to 5X.
Products
Are your products made in the USA? Some of our items are made and/or designed in the USA. Look for the "USA Made" collection. Items not labeled USA may have part of their design or production done outside the country; everything ships to you from a USA location.
What else do you carry besides clothing? Beyond women's, men's and children's clothing, we carry accessories and products from our local entrepreneurs, including bath and body, candles and skin care.
Shipping & Returns
Is shipping included on any orders? Yes, on orders over $100.
What's your online return policy? Returns must be pre-approved before shipping anything back. Just contact us first and we'll send instructions. Items must be unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached, with no stains, odors, or alterations. We have a 7-day return window from your delivery date. Approved returns are issued as store credit only (no cash or card refunds), and store credit never expires. Original shipping is non-refundable, and items marked Final Sale cannot be returned, exchanged, or credited.
